Investigation for the structural and electronic properties of fluid metals
Overview of your research
By controlling temperature and pressure, a continuous and substantial reduction in fluid density become possible. Fluid metals undergo a metal-nonmetal transition around the critical density. Subject of my research is to investigate the structural and electronic properties of fluid metals in the vicinity of such transition, by using a technique of synchrotron x-ray scattering.
